Installation
Open the service panel on your spa and plug SpaControl into the Balboa control box with the cable in the box. Then press Wi-Fi Setup on the unit and add it to your account in the app. SpaControl starts learning your spa right away.

No. SpaControl plugs into a port on the Balboa control box inside the spa cabinet; no mains wiring is involved. If you would rather not open the service panel yourself, your spa dealer or an installer can do it in a few minutes.
Yes. Your spa keeps its own control system and panel. SpaControl works alongside it and sets the heating plan; the panel works as before.

Savings
The average estimated saving across SpaControl units in operation is 29 EUR a month, an estimated 35% reduction in heating costs over the last 30 days. Your saving depends on your spa: insulation, heating capacity, the weather, your temperature and how you use it. We cannot estimate it before SpaControl has learned your spa.
SpaControl measures how much energy your spa needs and when it heats. We price that heating with the electricity price for each hour. Then we take the same amount of energy, spread it evenly over the same hours, and price it the same way. That even spread stands in for a standard thermostat, because nobody can know exactly when a thermostat would have heated.
The difference between the two costs is the estimated saving. SpaControl moves heating to cheaper hours. It lowers what heating costs, not the amount of energy the spa needs.
From the average estimated saving. The first month counts the full saving, because the first 30 days of the subscription are free. Every month after that counts the saving minus the 4 EUR subscription, until the total passes the 129 EUR unit price. It is an average, not a promise for your spa.
A price limit only stops heating in expensive hours and heats whenever power is under the limit. SpaControl predicts tomorrow's heat need from your spa and the weather forecast, and places it in the cheapest hours of the day.

4 EUR per month. The first 30 days are free. The subscription starts when your order ships.
Yes, at any time, from your 4Power Cloud account. Without a subscription the spa runs on its own control system as before; the daily plan and the app pause until you subscribe again.
Returns and delivery
Use SpaControl on your spa for up to 90 days from the day you receive it. If you are not satisfied, write to us and send the unit back undamaged with its accessories, and we refund everything: the unit, the subscription and the original shipping. You only pay the return shipping. This is in addition to your statutory right of withdrawal.
Orders ship from Denmark. Order on a weekday before 15:00 and we ship the same day. Delivery in Denmark takes 1–9 business days; other countries take a little longer.
